Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR is the American Heart Association course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies. This course gives high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The course will prepare the attendee to successfully respond to and manage illnesses and injuries until professional help arrives. This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states.

Description

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is the AHA’s BLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

Heartcode BLS is the Blended Learning (online portion, followed by hands-on skills session) HeartCode BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments. The Heartcode BLS focuses on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

The American Heart Association Heartcode BLS Course is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
